Sit. Stay. JUGBOW.
I don't hand out a Hell-Yes just because something works.
It needs to work well, not cost a ridiculous amount of money, survive actual life in my house, and preferably not require me to charge the damn thing every three days.
The JUGBOW dog training collar somehow managed all of the above.
I've had mine for close to a year now, and it is still in great shape, still works like it's supposed to, and has some of the best battery life I've experienced in a rechargeable pet product (or any product for that matter).
The JUGBOW Collar I've Been Using
I have the JUGBOW DT-61 Remote Training Collar, which JUGBOW currently lists for around $43.99 on its website.
I actually bought mine on Amazon for around $40, and since then I have seen it go on sale for even less.
For a dog training collar that I've now used for close to a year?
That's a steal.
The DT-61 has a remote range of up to 4,200 feet and offers multiple training options rather than jumping straight to static stimulation.
Depending on the model, JUGBOW collars offer combinations of:
Beep/sound
Vibration
Static stimulation
Multiple adjustable intensity levels
And I really like having options.
Not every situation—or every dog—requires the same level of correction. Sometimes getting their attention is literally all you need.
With my dog? It took exactly ONE shock before he understood the assignment. Since then, the beep is all we've needed.
Can We Talk About This Battery Life?!
This may actually be my favorite part.
JUGBOW's FAQ says the collar can last up to 15 days on a charge and the remote up to 45 days.
My experience has been even better.
I swear my collar lasts about a MONTH.
The remote? Around a month and a half.
Obviously, battery life depends on how often you use it, which functions you use, and probably a million other little variables.
But I was genuinely blown away.
There have been multiple times when I've realized I can't even remember the last time I charged the thing.
And somehow?
IT'S STILL ALIVE.
Even better, you don't have to guess when it's finally getting close to dying. The collar has a little blinking indicator light that stays green while the battery is good and turns red when the battery is getting low—basically its polite little way of saying,
"Hey. Remember that charger you haven't seen in a month? Might wanna find it."
For someone who already has approximately 47 other rechargeable objects in her life begging for a USB cable, this matters more than it probably should.
Almost a Year Later...
Here's what really pushed this review into HELL YES territory:
Durability.
We've had this collar for close to a year, and it's still in excellent shape and working perfectly.
That's important because I'm not reviewing something straight out of the box and telling you it's wonderful because it survived Tuesday. This thing has actually been used.
JUGBOW also makes waterproof models designed for outdoor use, with some of its current collars carrying an IPX8 waterproof rating.
Depending on which model you're considering, JUGBOW offers collars for dogs ranging from small breeds up to around 120 pounds, so definitely check the specifications for the individual collar rather than assuming they're all identical.
There IS One Thing That Annoys Me
Because this is IMBHO and we're not pretending anything is perfect:
The strap loosens over time.
At least mine has.
Over time, the actual collar strap gets a little loose, so every so often I have to tighten it again and feed the extra strap back through the little plastic keeper.
If I don't pay attention to it, I'm worried the collar could eventually become loose enough to slip off.
Is it enough to make me stop recommending it?
No.
Is it annoying?
Yep.
I'd much rather have a collar that stayed exactly where I adjusted it.
But after almost a year of use, that's genuinely my biggest complaint—which says quite a bit.
My Mom Bought THREE
Possibly the best endorsement of this entire review:
I liked mine enough that I told my mom about it.
And then she bought a three-collar setup for her three dogs.
So apparently I have become the unpaid JUGBOW salesperson of the family.

JUGBOW actually has multi-dog systems that let you control multiple collars from one remote, which is pretty freaking convenient if your house has crossed the line from "we have dogs" into "we may accidentally be running a small kennel."
There Are A LOT of Options
Another thing I didn't realize until looking further into JUGBOW is just how many different collar options they have.
There are different models, colors, single-dog and multi-dog systems, and even lighted/LED options.
And they don't only sell training collars.
JUGBOW also carries other pet products and accessories, including ramps, beds, gates, kennels, and other pet gear.
So if you're shopping, it's worth poking around instead of automatically grabbing the first collar you see.
Warranty, Shipping & FAQs
If you're buying directly from JUGBOW, they currently advertise a 12-month/one-year warranty, and their site offers free shipping on qualifying orders.
They also have a surprisingly extensive FAQ section.
And I actually appreciate that.
There are answers about sizing, waterproofing, battery life, charging, training and usage, shipping, troubleshooting, and differences between models.
If you're nervous about using a remote training collar or aren't sure which model you need, read the FAQs and training information first.
Especially when you're dealing with any training tool that includes static stimulation, knowing how to use it responsibly matters more than simply knowing which button does what.
So, Is the JUGBOW Dog Training Collar Worth It?
Absolutely.
I've used mine for almost a year, and for around $40, it's been one of those rare purchases that has actually exceeded my expectations. The battery life is incredible; it's durable and easy to use, and the different training modes let you figure out what works best for your dog.
My only complaint? The strap occasionally needs tightening. For everything else this collar gets right, I'll happily deal with that.
Final Verdict? IMBHO Hell-Yes!
If you're looking for an affordable training collar that actually works without spending a small fortune, this is the one I'd recommend.
