A Primally Pure Dupe That Delivers

Sometimes you stumble onto a product that feels way too good for its price tag. That's what happened when I found P.U.R.E. Shea Radiance — their Raw Shea Butter whipped with Apricot Oil.

It sells for $14.99 on
Thrive Market, $23 on Shea Radiance’s website, and hovers around $16–$20 on Amazon, depending on size. The line also includes an unscented version and one infused with orange and clove. Still, it was this whipped apricot version that had me curious from the start.

The jar promises all the clean beauty things I look for:

Shea Radiance Description

NO DYES.

PARABEN-FREE.

VEGAN.

NATURAL ESSENTIAL OILS.

Simple enough to make you hopeful.

A Brand Rooted in Care

Shea Radiance feels like one of those brands that genuinely understands what it takes. They don't just talk about skincare — they talk about connection. Their website says it best:

We believe skincare is more than just products—it’s a journey of self-care, confidence, and connection.
— Shea Radiance

They were founded out of a need for something gentler, realer — natural solutions for dry, sensitive skin. Over time, that turned into a movement celebrating women's beauty at every age.

They source their shea butter from women-run cooperatives in West Africa, which means every jar carries more than moisture; it carries impact.

That alone makes me feel better about slathering it on.

The Science Behind the Softness

Shea Radiance blends traditional ingredients with skin science.

Their products used:

  • Shea Butter, the base that locks in deep hydration

  • Chaga Mushroom, packed with antioxidants to reduce inflammation

  • Tremella Mushroom, full of polysaccharides that hydrate and protect the skin barrier

  • Colloidal Oats, soothing and anti-inflammatory, are perfect for sensitive types

It's skincare built on ingredients that actually do something, not just sound fancy.

Texture, Scent, and Feel

When I opened the jar, the texture caught me first — it looks like Cool Whip, but slightly grainier. Not in a bad way, just real. The scent was subtle: a whisper of lemon and apricot with a soft shea undertone.

At first swipe, it felt dense. Definitely not your typical lotion consistency. You have to warm it up a bit between your hands, and I quickly learned it blends easier on damp skin — something the jar doesn't mention, but should.

Once rubbed in, it melts beautifully and leaves a faint glow, but I did feel a bit greasy…so I did wipe a little off (maybe I used too much, I don’t know.)

Primally Pure vs. Shea Radiance

And here's the shocker: as I was applying it, I realized it felt exactly like Primally Pure's body butter — the one that broke my heart when I finished it and couldn't justify spending $40 for a refill.

Same scent. Same finish. Practically the same performance.

A dupe, and a good one.

The Results

It left my skin incredibly soft, and that softness lasted. But if I'm being brutally honest — because that's the brand around here — I didn't feel like the hydration lasted as long as I wanted. That might be on me, though; my skin is desert-level dry, so I need a heavier hit of moisture than most.

Still, compared to every "clean" body butter I've tried (especially ones in the $40+ club), this one holds its own.

Shea Radiance is proof that

you don't have to spend luxury prices to get a luxury feel.

It's clean, ethically made, lightly scented, and hits the mark for anyone chasing soft, glowing skin without the ingredient list anxiety.

If you've been missing that Primally Pure experience but not the price tag, this is absolutely worth a try.
