🐾 Dog Hair, Be Gone
This is hands-down the best twenty bucks I've ever spent on my car.
Let's be honest—owning a dog is 50% love and 50% vacuuming.
Especially if you've got a short-haired pit who somehow sheds enough to make a second dog after one car ride.
It makes absolutely no sense to me.
So, when I found this $19.99 rear dog seat cover on Amazon (Prime, of course), I hit "Buy Now" faster than my dog sprints when he hears the word treat.
And let me tell you… worth. Every. Penny.
My puppy, Diesel riding in the car.
This thing has it all:
Heavy-duty hard bottom (no sagging in the middle)
Waterproof + chew-proof Oxford and PE material
Mesh window so your pup can still see you (and judge your driving)
Non-slip base for all that zoomie energy
Storage pockets for leashes, toys, or wipes
Seat belt compatibility—and it actually comes with a dog seat belt.
Collapsible + multi-use design doubles as a camping mat, car mat, or even a travel placemat for your dog.
Supports up to 400 lbs (so even your Great Dane's cousin is welcome)
It even came with a rope toy and a microfiber towel, which felt like a little doggie care package.
We tested it in three cars—a Kia Telluride, a Chevy Silverado, and a Ford Explorer—and it fit perfectly in each.
If you accidentally install it backwards, it'll sit at an awkward angle and won't fit right. Once we flipped it around, it lay completely flat, snug, and secure. So, orientation definitely matters here.
Usually, after a ride, my husband (sometimes me) is stuck vacuuming short pittie hair out of every crevice of our Ford Explorer’s (“Dora’s”) backseat. But this time?
Not a single strand stuck.
The mesh window was perfect—it kept him in the back while still allowing him to see us, which helped calm him down.
The outstanding design covered the floor gap too, so he could stretch out comfortably without slipping off the seat.
The setup was straightforward. It took two minutes. And when we were done, we folded it up, stashed it in the trunk, and went on with the day.
A quick wipe-down with a wet cloth, and it looks brand new. No smell, no stains, no hair left behind. Honestly, the hardest part of the whole process was convincing the dog to get out of the car.
IMBHO?
Yes, yes, a million times, yes. Absolute steal and obsessed with it. I will never again go without it.
If you're tired of fur-filled seats, wet or muddy paw prints, and dog hair in places you didn't know dog hair could go, this $19.99 seat cover is a game-changer.
Whether it's for your SUV, truck, or car, it fits, it works, and it saves your backseat and your patience.
